Newark Civic Society hosted SCAG members on a tour of the timber framed buildings and church of Newark on the evening of May 28th. Great to get inside upstairs the Old White Hart. Wonderful crown post roof and some interesting Elizabethan wall paintings there and in the Governor’s House. Big thanks to Newark Civic Society and Prof.Philip Dixon for the opportunity to see such wonderful buildings.
