Norwell Overhall dig

EE-I- ADIO WE SAW THE SUN! DIG DAY 11

The rain stopped and the sun shone as we hit what can only be described as a rubble mine. More Victorian pottery, broken brick and tile emerging and no sign of what the geo-physics suggested might be a structure.

David starts the morning briefing! Shirley was paying attention, honest.
2 metres from the east edge we take a section through the mortar/rubble section
..and work back westwards
mountains of rubble piling up from contexts (127) and (129)
and the rubble gets looser!
