YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGISTS’ SUMMER SCHOOL

This August we ran our 4th successive summer school excavation programme. 25 young people aged between 8 and 16 years old worked really hard, experiencing various fieldwork skills including drawing and taking levels. We are extremely grateful to the owners of Cranfield House for their generosity in hosting the week. Some Saxon and medieval pottery sherds were among the interesting finds and there were plenty of bones and building materials to keep everyone’s interest going.
