Sixteen of us joined Philip on zoom for a very interesting presentation on the history and development of the Chapter House and the current state of play with restoration work. We will certainly look at the ‘joins’ and carvings in the Minster with fresh insights. Currently work is underway to lay underfloor heating so that the space is more user friendly, but importantly, in an attempt to stop rising salt in the bricks from destroying the unique medieaval leaves carvings.
