Norwell Overhall dig

DIG -DAY 13

The day started with plan drawing and taking levels. It was then all hands down to taking out a cut of loose bricks and context 118, which is top-soil deposited above the rubble layers. Usual mix of old bottle fragments and pottery pieces emerging. John hit the jackpot with a sherd of medieval green glazed pottery -type to be identified.

Taking the levels; we’re only about 36 metres above sea level!
Not sure that’s vertical Peter.
Cleaned surfaces end of day 13.
